Hundreds of Poplar Estates residents gathered Monday to celebrate Independence Day with their neighbors. The festivities began with the annual block Bicycle Parade, led by the Germantown Fire and Police Departments. Afterwards, the children played in the fire hose spray while Pit Master Bob and a small army of volunteers served up barbecue.
